A Daughter's Joy
Last night (Easter), Morgan turned to me and asked, "Did you ever have an unexplained feeling of joy that you just couldn't figure out?" Oh sweetie, I *can't wait* to see what God has in store for you!

Phantom Idol?
Fairlawn High School is doing my absolute most favorite musical of all time this year - Phantom of the Opera. The music is by far the most difficult of any musical I have ever done - the orchestrater actually wrote a major part for the viola! Because of this, I have had to practice quite a bit outside of rehearsals. I have actually practiced every day for the past two weeks with the cd version on my ipod. I can really feel this music stretching me as a musician. And I must be getting a big head, too.
Late last week, I had a dream that I was a member of a band (with two other musicians I don't know IRL). We had already made it through local auditions for American Idol, and were at a studio in L.A. with the next round of auditions. In my dream, we performed our piece (I don't even know what it was called, but I knew I did very well!), and after it was over, the judges made comments to each band member on our performances. When they got to me, Steven Tyler said, "You ROCKED that piece!" And with that, I woke up. I can only assume that we won the whole show! ;-)
